We knew dotmoovs first ever AMA hosted in its own Telegram channel had to be special. What we didn’t know was that it would be so special.
Tuesday, June 15, just a couple of hours before Portugal entered the pitch to face Hungary on its first EURO 2020 game, the Portuguese international player, Ricardo Quaresma — a habitué of this competition — was entering dotmoovs Telegram channel to have his own premiere on an “Ask Me Anything” session.
Quaresma, who played for Portugal during the EURO 2016 and became European Champion — a title that the team is defending this year — is not a man of many words, and even though we knew he enjoys his privacy, we couldn’t stop ourselves from giving him a call and ask: “Would you accept joining our first ever AMA? Our MOOVERS would be delighted!”. After some hesitation and explanation of what an AMA actually is, the football superstar and dotmoovs ambassador gladly accepted the challenge.
We started the session with some minutes of delay, but soon we were getting a video of the our ambassador greeting and asking if everyone was ready to chat.
The conversation, led and moderated by dotmoovs’ HoG, Ricardo Martins Costa, was cheerful and interesting, ending up revealing some breaking news. Here’s the transcription for those who missed, or for those who want to recap!

Do you think amateur players, or players who don’t have an agent who can help them with their career, can benefit from dotmoovs by using the platform to show their talent and profit from the challenges?

And this project allows everyone to show it, practicing and improving. And I think that’s the most important thing here

Alright, another question from the team: You are known among football fans as “Harry Potter” because of your ability to make magic with a ball. How did you learn your tricks?

To be honest, by playing against the wall and with friends. Back then, we’d learn football playing in the streets, and the more you played, the better you would get…
You had to give your best without any help from technology, without your mobile filming. Today things are a bit easier. With technology, you can review your performances, have algorithms analyzing your skills, improve and achieve better scores

To be honest that’s the most important thing right now, especially after a long year where most people didn’t have the chance to do much exercise!

Ricardo Quaresma, [15 Jun 2021 at 16:20:31]: Hi @Philto242, great question! It’s not a secret, it’s hard work and lot of training. That’s the only way to execute a perfect trivela. I had to do it thousands of times to achieve a level where that would come naturally. Just like Roberto Carlos trained multiple times, over and over, until he could shoot with the outside of his foot.

FC Porto and Besiktas are very special clubs with some of the most unique supporters in the World. I have the deepest respect for them, I was very happy in both!
